Fundación mundo sano

Fundación Mundo Sano, a charity for the most needy, started in 1993 and was the result of the desire of Dr. Roberto Gold and his family to help in the never ending challenge to improve the quality of life. Mundo Sano has focused on the efforts to control and eradicate illnesses transmitted by insects and dirty water, both of which are related closely to the poverty that affects millions of people.

"We seek to contribute to the solution of this problem through what we consider to be an original approach to the problem. We select a region on a manageable scale and there we attempt to establish an efficient model aimed at fighting the disease. The objective is to generate models which can be repeated in both health and social aspects".

"Our relationship with CHEMO, through its charity, started at the beginning of 2004, when close cooperation was consolidated in two of the projects. This year we hope to take a further step forward as we are beginning to plan a joint project which would take place in Spain". Says Mr. Hector Coto, director of Mundo Sano.

Solidarity for South East Asia

In response to the tsunamis tragedy on December 26, 2004, CHEMO's employees have helped with donations to support long-term projects.

A number of different fund raising activities were organized and the money collected was used to enhance the Foundation's projects to the benefit of the people affected.
